Worship Ancestor during Tomb Sweeping Day is a way of the Chinese show filial piety.

The Chinese traditional Tomb Sweeping Day began around the Zhou Dynasty, and has a history of more than 2,500 years.

Customs vary from place to place, but Worship ancestors and outings are basic themes.

In 1935, the government of the Republic of China designated April 5 as a national holiday Tomb Sweeping Day,also known as the national Worship festival.

On May 20th, 2006, with the approval of the State Council, The Tomb Sweeping Day is included in the first national intangible cultural heritage list.
